Michel Knott

Michel is a Nevada CPA (license #6381). He is a graduate of University of Oregon, Eugene, OR where he received a B.S. in Accounting. Michel has been an active CPA since 2009 and in a mixture of public and private accounting positions since 2007. He specializes in auditing, governmental accounting, forensic accounting, and tax compliance.

In addition to the CPA certification, Michel has also been a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) since 2009. He is also a Quickbooks Advisor.

Michel’s civic involvement extends to volunteer service with groups like food banks, master gardeners, and departments of corrections.

Certified Public Accountant

George Bean

George is a Nevada CPA (license #7102) who graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a B.S in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy. He worked in private accounting for a few years before joining Knott CPA as a public accountant. George appreciates the meaningful variety of work he does on a day-to-day basis at a small firm and feels fulfilled producing work that creates value for clients. 



George enjoys motorcycle rides with his dad and brother when he isn’t working and is interested in fitness and juggling. 

Office Administrator

Erika Root

Erika is the full-time Office Administrator at Knott CPA. She handles meeting scheduling, document requests (both physical and digital), filing, and other essential tasks that keep our services running smoothly. As the friendly voice on the phone, she is here to assist you. If she doesn’t have the answer, she’ll make sure it gets to the right person.

When she is not at the front desk, she is out enjoying the natural beauty of the Tahoe area or immersing herself in Reno’s vibrant arts scene. Feel free to reach out—we are here to help!

Office Administrator

Julie Douglass

Julie is our backup office administrator and part-time bookkeeper. She worked at her father's accounting practice for many years, until he retired, and then she came to work for Kevin Pikero.   

She switched to part-time when Kevin retired and Michel took over the practice. She loves continuing to help the clients she has known for many years, and meeting new ones.

When not at work, her and her husband (who is a CPA!) are involved with the local theater community, and she also does Scottish country dancing.
